d'Artagnan (full title: d'Artagnan of Luplac, Gascony) is a King's Musketeer, thank you very much. Not an apprentice, not someone needing traing, but a Musketeer. He travels and fights with Porthos, Aramis, and Athos, doing Musketeer-like things. He's got the uniform and everything. And honour.
